BRAND

Numina is a digital exhibition of silk scarves designed to bring elements and images from ancient civilizations into today's fashion. This concept comes to life in silk scarves, digitally designed and printed, produced in Soufli—the city of silk. Each scarf is accompanied by its own story, taking us on a journey through the history of art and culture. Numina draws inspiration from the passage of time, exploring the expression of civilizations through imprints on statues, vessels, and frescoes. It then transforms these influences into contemporary lyrical patterns, designs with vibrant colors, and intense movements. The forms become patterns and function autonomously in the space, interacting with each other, creating a dialogue between nature and other elements.

CURRENT COLLECTION

The current collection makes its debut under the title "MATRIARCHY." Matriarchy was the status quo that, according to historical studies, is presumed to have prevailed during the Minoan era. In this artistic endeavor, matriarchy is not used as a political term. Here, the power of women is highlighted through their dominance in nature and their leading role in ceremonies. The collection approaches the coexistence of women and nature by studying how this relationship is depicted in the era.

INSPIRATION ERA

Examining the daily life of Minoans reveals the remarkable influence of women and nature across all facets of life, particularly their prominence in the realms of art and culture. The simultaneous praise and respect for nature in the Minoan era awe the modern person. Nature produces art as everything is in continuous flow. Often, in frescoes, we encounter the triptych of lilies, symbolizing birth, life, and death, highlighting the rebirth of nature and its alignment with human emotions. The feelings that humans receive from the visual stimulus of flower geometry is seen in the patterns of women's dresses and motifs of their objects in everyday life.
